Fry his arse.

quote:

A Kansas elementary school teacher has been found guilty of stalking a 10-year-old student and taking hundreds of videos and photos of the girl’s legs and butt.
quote:

James Loganbill, 58, was convicted on Wednesday after his victim told the court she still had nightmares and was “scared of men” in the wake of the shocking ordeal
quote:

The girl’s friends reported to the principal that they’d seen Loganbill taking photos of the fourth-grade student.
quote:

He then admitted to police that he was “obsessed” with the girl – especially when she wore black leggings in class.
quote:

Investigators alleged Loganbill had taken 230 photos and 31 videos of the girl between August 2019 and March 2020. The photos and videos were taken on the teacher’s phone and school-issued iPad
quote:

Loganbill was found guilty of reckless stalking and will be sentenced in November.

Can a lawyer unpack that term for me?

Not “stalking” I got a good bead on that one.

Got it. Makes sense. Still sounds dumb. “Aggravated” is the only term that sounds proper. But that’s probably the highest level before it becomes another crime altogether.

If the state of Kansas doesn't chop his nuts off, they are complicit if anything happens in the future.

This is true. Kansas was the first state to recognize that pedophiles cannot he changed. They confine them for life after a conviction. Today more than 20 states have followed suit.

Oh, he's going to have a fun time in prison.

If I were the girls dad, I would pay good money to make sure that he got some good “loving" every night.

Who needs lawyers when you have Google? In Kansas, stalking apparently is defined: "... intentionally or recklessly engaging in a course of conduct targeted at a specific person which would cause a reasonable person in the circumstances of the targeted person to fear for such person's safety..."

intentionally OR recklessly - apparently designed to relieve a prosecutor of having to prove the defendant's intent to scare the person if he was "reckless", i.e., got caught. Just get the victim to say they were scared and rest the case.

It appears there could be some far-reaching applications of this law if the authorities don't like someone. Might not want to jump from behind bushes and shout "Boo!" on Halloween. You might be a stalker.
