I get fired up about this.
Medicaid is a huge loss leader for my company and I've done actual patient studies (de-identified of course) that show average weight per inch of height.
The medicaid costs for overweight folks is astounding. And these people aren't dying anytime soon.

When everyone smoked everyone was skinny because it squashes your appetite.
We should smoke more
We should smoke more

Personally, I believe it was banning smoking in most businesses is what really killed the widespread use.
Went to eat at a nice restaurant in Cleveland ms called Bellazars recently. When I walked in they asked “Smoking or non smoking.”
Caught me off guard then was hit with a wave of nostalgia

My question is the weight itself the cause for cancer or the biproduct of eating shitty processed foods that give you cancer

Cancer isn’t preventable.
Genetic.
Genetic.

I’m about that size and people constantly tell me that I’m too skinny. I know I’m not, but that is the public perception. If I was 150 people would think I was dying.
You are bordering being overweight at that height unless you are muscular.
Depends where you are carrying that weight. Maybe you cycle and have strong legs, maybe you sit all day and it's all in your gut.

People watch too much basketball and think 6'something is an average height.
Or they watch too much football and think most of society is 6'1"+ and 2something.

Wife made me quit smoking, gained 40 lbs because I'm eating home cooked meals instead of smoking and drinking whiskey after work.

I'm 6'2" 205 and I am not fat. Nor am I swole.
I could lose 10 lbs in a week from cutting out booze and white bread, but no one would call me fat.
