The AMA has adopted a rabidly anti-masculine agenda and it is clearly reflected in their weight guidelines for height and age. By their standards every linebacker in the NFL and a fair number of running backs are obese. That's not to say that Americans aren't fat and getting fatter or to deny that it is a serious problem, just that these standards are pure bullshite. In my bare feet I'm just under 6'2 and today I weigh 232 and wear size 36 jeans. Which is exactly on the nose for obesity. I'd put my ideal weight at just under 220. They put it at 168. At 190 I look I'm on drugs, (trust me, I've done the research). At 168 I'd look like I've been vacationing at Bergen-Belsen.
Stop using outliers to disregard data.

This mindset is infuriating.

This.

Americans aren’t built like NFL athletes.

They are fat.

6’2” and 232 lbs is overweight unless you have the body habitus of a NFL athlete, which it is unlikely that you do.

And if you do, you are an OUTLIER.

Americans also have a skewed view of what a normal body should look like. They are so used to seeing overweight people that they think a normal body habitus is anorexic.

You’re 50 lbs heavier than me at the same height and I’d like to drop 5 lbs. I’d say you are overweight.

People think fat acceptance is Lizzo or the fat girl in the Gatorade commercial. But THIS is the real fat acceptance.

According to you he looks like a "drug addict". Your attitude is the true face of fat acceptance.
