This is an effort to identify the people who have assaulted police officers.

The NYPD’s chief of detectives, Rodney Harrison, released a video Wednesday of several assaults on officers during the recent unrest in the city amid protests over the death of George Floyd.
The clip, which Harrison tweeted, shows at least five instances of officers being attacked during the mayhem.
Two cops could be seen in separate incidents getting hit from behind by unknown objects. Two more officers were struck by flying objects, including an orange traffic cone. In the last incident, a suspect targets an officer with a metal chair, according to the recording.
Photos of head injuries sustained by two of the officers were shown in the video, along with surveillance close-ups of three men suspected in the assaults.
“The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for assaulting police officers,” Harrison tweeted with the video.

Grown adults that behave like that deserve to be shot in the head.

A lot of the "peaceful protesters" are likely rich white kids from the suburbs.

The comments on that tweet are appalling..

So now we can't release videos depicting violent acts of crime in an attempt to catch those responsible without labeling it controversial?

Wtf is up with the music in that video.
Posted on 6/18/20 at 11:03 am to McNeeseLSU
Because it shows what police deal with on a daily basis and it's not hunting down black men for sport.

It's only controversial to those spreading lies. To the rest of us who live in reality, however, this is not surprising. Disgusting, but not surprising.

100% true. Which apparently makes you both racist and deplorable.
Sorry. I don't make the rules.
