The Legal Aid Society is demanding two NYPD officers be fired after they allegedly used excessive force in the form of punching, choking and macing a homeless man who refused to get off the subway train. The homeless man said he planned to sue the city for $30 million, but for now his lawyer said that he's been down on his luck and homeless, sleeping on subway trains because he didn't feel safe in shelters due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Why were the officers called to the subway to get him off the train?

Im going to make the argument that NYPD has about 50,000 bigger problems going on right now with no solves than a homeless person sleeping on a subway car.

Its just not a good look right now.

They get them off to disinfect it. Actually once they started doing that regularly, their numbers finally started coming down.

There are actually a lot of homeless people they have to get off the subway. They were doing it every night but not sure how often they are doing it now.

That seems like textbook excessive force...but it’s a black cop and a white homeless person.

This is gonna be a fun one to follow.

refused

That's the keyword. He could have got back on the next train after the cops left. But his ignorant arse just had to refuse to cooperate. Repeat after me, "Yes Sir," and then go do whatever you want to do after the PoPo leaves.

I know these people. He’ll settle for a grocery bag full of mixed prescription medication.

Rules still need to be followed regardless of what’s going on right now. It sucks the guys homeless but he doesn’t get to break the law because he doesn’t feel safe at a shelter.

Except they are spending time on this when they are letting thousands of other worse crimes slide.

So you have to ask.

What kind of crime triage are they engaging in?

To me it looks like lazy low hanging fruit comes first.

It is an order from the Governor to clear the subways of homeless people so they can disinfect them. Cuomo has said it multiple times.

Yeah, hey, adjust the brightness on your device. That appears to be a white dude getting shite-kicked by a black cop. Which we all know doesn’t happen.

And even if it did, what does that have to do with black race pandering??

Yeah, this is not a Time for this story. We are talking about something else right now in this country.

(I’m being facetious)

The person of homeless hit at and kicked the cop. And that girlie voice and refusal to do anything that was asked is her problem.

I would not give them shite. But it is NYC/
