I'm not. We tend to have a more functional govt and population here.

Did I say people need to be on long term welfare? Also after spending some time in other countries, it was nice to see how well functioning civil services can actually help out a society. I don’t want to be tethered to the toxic American outlook on society, community, and shared responsibility. I don’t think it’s actually doing us any good long term. It’s making us more insular, greedier, dumber, more selfish, and less empathetic, and less woke.

You can stop right there.

Our population (the lower 30% isnt capable of self management to any extent.

Handouts make their plight worse, not better.

Im surprised at what people will pay for them here. I remember the old days when we used to go diving and could catch/keep up to 5 at a time.

It's like people who go to Red Lobster in FL. I remember when an Asian restaurant in Nashville had all you can eat crab legs, I did some damage.

I dove in Iceland in one, the water is so clear you think it's two feet deep, but it's 12. The one country I have been to where they say buy on bottle of water and refill it.

I believe that, wife and daughter went to Norway in January to see the northern lights and they loved it, I'd like to go there during the summer and go fishing

Wait you’re saying the best way of life is only the American way? How myopic. How do you scream close minded and ignorant without screaming it ?

What do you do when you get lost in an Icelandic forrest?

Stand up!

I have a pic of horse on the menu.

Iceland takes two trips, one in the summer and one in the winter for the ice caves, the hot spring baths are amazing.

The thing I love most about this is the middle/upper class white people that vote for this shite always think that it’s the people who have more money than they do are the rich people. They’re always shocked when the hammer and sickle get used on them.

Our current version of Capitalism isn’t working for most people! So why are you insistent on continuing to do the same thing over, to get continually worse results.

Because it works for people like you and I ? That doesn’t seem like a reasonable enough reason to continue anything.

the guide for that rafting trip you recommended a couple of years ago offered to let us jump in at the end of the trip(of course we were in dry suits,) it started to get pretty chilly after a few minutes in the water

No but we have some entities in place that overwhelming belt our middle and lower class workers, making upward mobility almost impossible.
