I don't get all of this too many punches stuff. The dude got jumped by a thug who started it.
Many of those head shots were useless and it's kinda hard to find the immediate off button when the adrenalin is flowing.
I get that most folks have never been jumped like that and are talking like they know, but I allow some reasonable room for error in such circumstances.
The dude never caved his face into the concrete, which a lot of guys would have done and it's not like the black dude was out cold and limp.
All I saw was a spirited and well-deserved arse-whooping. Black dude will be fine after a few minutes and back talking chit within a few weeks.

Not sure you know what the term "jumped" means. B/c that was not it. He threw the first punch for sure, but it was head on while the guy was looking straight at him.

This...adrenaline causes fight-or-flight, not debate-or-respectfully-resign-from the situation.
In my mind, it could have ended earlier, but it could have been so much worse. He didn't curb stomp him or slam his face into the concrete.
