Ok, i’ve been out the loop on this since the update she came home…
Who has the cliffs? Im seeing talk of mental evals and embezzling money from her work to buy snacks?

yep. i dealt with someone that looked up a doc's medical record. HR was on her later that day.

I give a lot of credit to Birmingham's mayor,Randall Woodfin. He's a lib,dem and all that. But he's a pretty bright guy who isn't a moron. He speaks out all the time about violence in the area and telling parents they HAVE to get involved. He's imploring people to help about the two firemen shot last week to come forward. I know two people who were immediately fired the same day they accessed records. They were addressed by management and escorted off property by security.

I would be shocked if this happened. They will simply say they believed whatever it was that she told them.
However, if I were her parents right now, I'd be telling her she needs to speak to the police. If you're her parents and you believe her story of a kidnapping, wouldn't you want her telling the police her story so they can find these alleged kidnappers?

The parents are just repeating what she told them in general. The police haven't even ruled this as a hoax yet. Even if they say they can find no evidence of the mystery toddler, an abduction etc..., the parents are entitled to believe their daughter. It may be that since more has come out that they now have their doubts. They should, but their initial responses were based on their daughter's story and the story told by the brother's gf/wife.

I remember the last high profile HPD presser. I full expect them to come with slides and video evidence at this presser along with the times for each. They’ll pretty much walk through every key point in time from when she left work to when she arrived home. By the time it’s over she’ll be wishing she was abducted to save herself the embarrassment. Hoover PD is very thorough

The sad thing is I think most people would give her and her family grace if they had come out this morning and said something along the lines of “Carlee hit rock bottom professionally and personally. She lost control of herself and made a series of really, really bad judgements that caused a lot of anguish to her family and her community. She’s sorry for the harm this has caused to so many people and is willing to accept the consequences.”
Guarantee you most good natured people would’ve accepted that and moved on. Now anything that happens after the Hoover PC will look reactionary and self serving.
