Talk about a post that didn’t age well. I find it amazing that despite there being ZERO evidence of a second car we still managed to get gems like this. I guess that same grey suv had second thoughts about Mexico and turned around and dropped her on her doorstep

Yeah regardless of what the truth is, this is going to be ugly for the family.
Their "best case scenario" is that their daughter is missing a few marbles and went on a 2-day psychotic bender. Even then,much of the public that doesn't understand mental illness is going to rip them apart.
Worst case scenario is that this was some strange attention-seeking plot, in which case some angry locals may literally go burn their house down.
If not, dead giveaway they were in on the staging.
I believe they didn't expect the police response to be as rapid and broad as it was and were going to use this as a vehicle to attack LE in the context of racism AND a go fund me scam. When the police response was bigger than expected they bailed on the gofundme to limit criminal liability.
Now they will panic and claim rape by some MAGA hat wearing extremists.
