That’s stinks if they are tightwads about food for a holiday. My offshore boys used to send me amazing photos of their meals on holidays.

Had a cousin light a candle in the bathroom about 10 years go after wrangling a dirt snake. Which was kind. But it caught the hand drying towel on fire. Could have been awful. Smelt the burning. Almost ruined the big family Christmas.

Hoping to avoid any drama, but just found out my oldest sister “may” show up. If she does the drama will start within 30 minutes of her arrival.

A few years ago she didn’t even get in the house before the fight started.

My neighbor came over when he saw me smoking the bird. He informed me that he and the kids are pissing out their butts and won’t be attending their family get together. Thanks for bringing over the stomach bug Kyle

I started doing this for most games after I realized how much I liked not listening to Gary Danielson and Verne blabber on about whatever.

Jesus, please don’t do this. Go buy another bird. I’ve heard of these things exploding when frozen and dropped into hot oil. People have been badly injured and great property destruction

I hope he is joking. That thing will blow up like fireworks on the 4th. He’ll burn his house down, but at least he’ll win this year with a good story to tell.

Lowkey over here. Just me and the missus. Chicken stuffed with crawfish jambalaya, brie macaroni, and whatever else she’s making. Football all day

This year it’s just me and the wife. Taking the Holliday off with relatives and no kids. We are grilling some steaks
We did this a few times when we lived in Florida. We'd open presents and then is go fire up the grill. There are a few required foods for my wife that didn't really go with steak so she just made them for herself. Our last one down there was my oldest son's 1st. We went overboard with the gifts which led to an extended period of gift opening. End result: I found myself grilling steaks paying they'd be finished before the storm moved in. They weren't.

Two of my favorite adult Thanksgivings were while we lived in Florida. Our first year we made our meal, ate, and then jumped into the pool. The other one saw us leaving after work and driving 16 hours overnight to surprise my in-laws. That was the GOAT Thanksgiving with her family.

Everything changes with kids so enjoy what you have now.

Down in SW GA at the in-laws extended family. Supposed to be like 50 people here so that’s pretty not great. Very, very country crowd…which I am not so a lot of pointless small talk but they’re good people. Big arse spread though so should eat very well. Spent the 4th this year with many of the same folks and there weren’t any fireworks so hoping for a nice, peaceful afternoon.

Decreased spending on food out here is a relatively new thing. The people that make the decisions on something like that are so far removed from the outcome that it's just a number now. Someone summed it up quite well the other day. "I just don't like the idea that the people I work for are telling me that I'm only worth the bare minimum expense when it comes to my quality of life". Maybe one day we will come out of it, but I think this is the future.

A lot is made on here about dramatic political blow ups....but the opposite is just as bad imo... nonstop small talk that noone can possibly have an opinion on...

Ya know brohem they gonna build a new warehouse over there off that 49 exit... supposed to be big.

Oh... thats... ok.
