We're just saying that running 3 cars w/o supplemental braking, or breakaway brakes is unsafe, and typically illegal.
They drive slow b/c they know the first vehicle doing the towing isnt rated to stop 2 extra vehicles. That doesn't make it right, or safe.
IDK about their insurance: I can't see that.
Cops let that crap roll, but by God, you'd better have legal tint.

They’ve been told do not stop., gas’s cans are carried along with the caravan.., stopping at a truck stop would probably get them pulled over

I knew some guys from Belize who did a caravan 2x a year. According to them, they made good money. And it was with the effort even with driving through Mexico.

Best one I ever saw was a school bus with all the seats ripped out that had 3 VW bugs inside it

When they wreck it and hurt somebody's worth something's family, it might finally get some attention.

You're telling me they have adequate insurance? That would knock my socks off. There ain't no way.
These guys are pretty well financed.
Or at least historically they were, maybe there’s some independence now riding on the details of the original legit ones.

Most of them aren't Mexicans. Most are Guatemalan. They come in legally and buy junk cars at auction.
Yeah, these aren’t the folks staying in America and mooching off of taxpayers. I don’t even have a problem with them on the road as long as their rear lights are working properly. They always stay in the right lane and drive about 10 under.

If they are not breaking any laws, why would they stop them? Thye aggravate me too butthis is still America and the police are supposed to have a reason to stop you other than just the way you look.
I would suggest that they are a safety concern. However, I don’t any data to support that stance.

Why in the wold would a trooper choose to keep all of those people and junk cars in his state instead of just letting them drive on through? The state wouldn't get any money from them, and would just get stuck with the junk.
And they’re certainly not speeding. 50mph in the right lane, usually.

I see them all the time on I-10 with the "In Tow" on the back windshield. I guess they take them back to Mexico and repair, and sell them.

But not sure if it’s illegal - supposedly if they pay for the correct permits at the sales/auctions then they are good to go
I’d much rather BRPD find murderers than arrest Hispanic guys that are legally here trying to get back where they came from.
