As the favorite, you can tell once you’re older

I don’t have kids, but I can understand how you could feel that way. I don’t really believe in “unconditional love” for people. I mean seriously, how are you supposed to have unconditional love for shitty people?

If you have one kid that’s a really good person, responsible, caring and loving, and the other one is a complete shitbag, always in trouble, it’s natural to love the good one more.

Love for your kids is foundationally equal, but your like for each can fluctuate during their phases.

Little Ms Princess is gonna have a hard time and I feel for the fella that pairs up with her.

I married one like this. When I asked her father for his blessing to marry her, he says, “You sure you want to do this ? She’s a very demanding and determined woman.”

I should have heeded his warning.

Don’t have favorites. I love them differently. My older one (9) is an angel and listens and has a huge heart. My younger one (almost 5) is stubborn as shite but very affectionate. Both girls. The younger one is much more challenging but she’s constant entertainment. The older one is easy and a blessing with her younger sister.

They 1000% lied. My parents loved us all the same, but both my mom and my dad have an obvious favorite. My grandparents did as well.

Parents’ favorite: it’s a cliché, but it’s usually the youngest.

Grandparents’ favorite: seems to usually be the oldest grandkid.

End the cycle. Tell your kids who is the favorite.

My dad would constantly tell us all "and that's why you are my favorite" whenever we did something he was happy about.

So it definitely became an daily/hour/minute thing. As it wasnt past him to say it to one of us one minute, and a few later he said it to another..."Yup you are now my favorite, good job".

I'm 61.. and my 82 year old mom still treats me like she wished I hadn't been born...

But now that I am the only one left she is starting to realize that she better be a little nicer to me now, or I will stick her in the worst nursing home on the planet if she doesn't straighten up.
