I thought the same thing about the river. It’s high right now too, so no need to go far beyond the levee

In all seriousness, are there even any fire hydrants in that area? It’s very rural, even for White Castle standards. I’m sure the majority of the water was brought in on tank trucks.

Maybe they look at the cost of rebuilding on a partial loss vs the payout on a total loss and just say, "oh well."
