It's on the Isle de la Cite, the oldest part of the city and original settlement.

So much history in and around that cathedral this is beyond sad. It's the heart of Paris and France.

It is on an island, near Pont Neuf, the oldest place in Paris, the center of the city.

The things in there that will be lost are staggering.
