Sure. Ok. Old white dudes make up the vast majority of top level government (top level of everything really), but you believe whatever makes you feel better.

The protesting kind of proves the point that people can't be trusted to stay home, yes?
It is a little bit funny. Like children throwing a tantrum at the grocery because they can't have the candy they want. Even though it is dinner time. And the candy is bad for them.

We can't wait much longer to open up. People who are at risk will have to continue to self quarantine unfortunately. I'm okay with wearing a mask to keep my sneezes from getting out.

I didn't vote for Beshear, but I do think he's handled this well overall (not like he could mess it up much), but he made a bad comment against the protestors today. He commented that if they weren't social distancing (which they weren't that I could tell), he said they were spreading the virus and killing people, and that is not a true statement. Had he said it's possible that they were doing that it would have been accurate.
I'm deducting points for that.
And he's acting like he has no interest in opening up the economy, and the more his stance is rigid, the more enemies he will create.

They also conveniently left the window in the briefing room open (on an unseasonable cold day, mind you) - so the crowd noise could easily be heard in the background as Beshear spoke. He's all about "saving lives" but the abortion clinic in KY is deemed "essential" and still open.

OK, well at least I get the point. The Michigan one had me thinking it was more a 2nd amendment protest than a protest over the shut down. I can respect that.

If Raisin Cane’s (a fast food chain) and Mcdonalds can deem themselves essential then any business should be able to. Gyms, hair salons, etc are for essential and basic health. Fast food? This is outrageous. Any business can operate safely in this new environment.
