I like doing work myself (and getting the kids to help). Sets a good example to kids to get off their arse and accomplish things

We currently don't have any help right now but have talked about getting someone to come by once a month to do a deep clean.

We tried a few people out before, but wife hated the fact that she could not communicate with them.

Breaking even in life sounds good.

When your dead having wealth doesn't mean shite.

I’m not cutting my grass and I’m not asking my wife to scrub the toilets. If that makes me lazy in your eyes, so be it.

I don’t care how people spend their money as long as they don’t bitch about inflation, cost of groceries/gas, etc.

If you do and you also have lawn, maid, and pool service, you should be ridiculed as lazy.

In your circle....remember, you are getting older. You and your peers are all busier and earn more money than you all did in your 20s.

My husband is a chef, but I do most of the cooking at home

Anyway, we do all our own stuff but my husband does not change oil/brake pads/shocks on the vehicles

And I might ask if we could have a cleaning service come to the house once for a deep clean as a Christmas present. My husband will probably say no

Lumping all of those together instead of treating them as three distinct tiers is kinda of hilarious to me.

I make my husband do it. He is used to dealing with language barriers far more than I am.
