They aren't Baptist. They are nondenominational I think. And neither am I. I'm Methodist. So... Yeah.

I mean I'm not going to call a guy a sleazeball for one comment, but I guess I can see where yall are coming from. I guess I just knew him personal ly and know he isn't normally like that.

He's 100% all about that church, and he didn't get paid that well. Drove the same old busted up Jeep as long as I've known him.

I get what you're saying, and I don't know him personally so I could be wrong but I doubt it

My fiancé's parents go to non denominational churches (they've been to 3 or 4 in the past 7 years), and there hasn't been one 'pastor' that doesn't give off a sleazy vibe, and I'm normally pretty good at reading people IRL..

One of the guys was an ex lawyer, had a helicopter, a king ranch F-250, a top of the line Harley, an old school vette, and his wife had pretty much the same thing... A Lexus SUV, lady Harley , and a 2015 Cadillac CTS... But everytime I went they were preaching tithes and giving to the church yada yada yada

They also switched names of the church every few years... It was rumored that they would do that for tax breaks or something, I dno, I don't get into all that, but they were very shady to say the least

I just don't get it

Not when "the word" is largely bullshite. Is spreading unsubstantiated bullshite around a good thing in your world? It isn't in mine.

If you spread the word and people listen it's cool to make as much as you can off of them. Is that what it's all about?

They don't make as much as they can. yall jump to conclusions way to fast and blowing it out of proportion.

If you wanted to rip anyone from that screen shot it would be Bart for even bringing the money factor up. But again, it's being blown out of proportion.

Didn't say being a saintsfan changes anything. Just saying he's a good guy. No harm.

if you think about it, most churches get 10% of monthly income from about 50-60% of parishioners every month. A large church, that's a lot of money.

FYI. They just opened a Church of Scientology on Airline just north of I-12. In the place that used to be a big Chinese restaurant. I kind of want to go in there and listen to their spiel. I think it would be fascinating.
Gotta pay to pray in Scientology.

A guy can make millions off of crooked deals and such and nobody bats an eye.

A guy starts a church that becomes successful and makes a decent living and he's a sleaze ball.
