And I'm sure you also complain about high insurance costs due to the high numbers of uninsured motorists in LA too

What ever happened to freedom of speech?

How can the government compel us to put a sticker on our car?

Ive often wondered what the difference between checkpoints like this, or speed traps, and stop and frisk is....

Stop and frisk is considered raycess and awful policing. But speed traps in the morning, usually only done during the work week, is basically a harassment of the working man and is totally fine according to the powers that be.

So its ok to harass working men and women? But not criminals or people appearing to be criminals?

Ask the mayor. While you're at it, can you ask about the speed cameras that are popping me for going 4 over?

Letting your inspection sticker expire is trashy.

Heard her in a poof piece interview, surprisingly just after returning from her vacation trip to Cuba "it's for public safety, and not about raising revenue".

Actually, they are directly related. No insurance no inspection sticker, most people without inspection stickers are without insurance.

Insured drivers are a good thing for society, the inspection stickers are about the only checkpoint in our system.

Which is a good thing, to me. If you're a good 'ol baw and you just haven't had time to go get it renewed or just forgot, I think most can people empathize. What I don't get are the people that complain about the checkpoints for anything besides the inconvenience factor.

Fake news brought to you by Gordon, Morris, Dudley AND Debosier, etc. Louisiana isn't even in the top 10 for uninsured motorists.
Top 10 states for uninsured motorists

But we're number 1 in something: Top 10 states that pay the most for auto insurance

I wasn’t able to get a new brake tag because I have a 12” crack at the very bottom of the passenger side of my windshield. It doesn’t get close to my line of sight but I was told the new law states the crack cannot be larger than 8” no matter the location. The price to replace the windshield would be way more than a possible ticket so I’m taking my chances. I know they will eventually get me but it’s been over a year so far
