But if they start metal detectors or frisking to get on bourbon, the assholes will just congregate a block away and ruin the rest of the quarter too.

Such a goddamn shame people can't even have a good time anymore without violence in some aspect.
Seriously. We should get more guns to put an end to this shite.

Bourbon Street needs to be closed to vehicle traffic. Have barricades and police at every entry point. You can't get in without being frisked first.
I was gonna say this. Make the entire area a tourist attraction like a park. Gotta pay to get in past certain points of the day. Prove you live there or are staying in one of the hotels, you get in, but otherwise charge admission.

My buddy had a house in Acapulco in the 90's.
Puerto Vallarta too. All Pacific side places not named Cabo.
Mexico is on the edge of a cliff. Only a matter of time til the wrong Dateline NBC caliber story happens. Some Cartel guy get coked up or methed up like "Nicki's Crew" in Casino and shoots up the wrong place or just fricks up some midwest gringos.
I have friends who lived in Corpus and Laredo and El Paso. "Going across" is a complete thing of the past for them now. Nuevo Laredo had similar happen a few years ago to a mayor I believe. He was newly elected and was going to clean up the city. He was murdered on the steps of a government building after a speech and nobody saw a thing.
It is the Old West out there. With bombs and automatic weapons.

I'm going down there in a couple weeks with the family. Anyone know if conceal carry is allowed in the aquarium?

Because you're an idiot if you think you need to conceal carry at the aquarium

Maybe that's not the only place he's going. Not to mention the fact that he has to get to and from the aquarium.

Those statues are still up, aren't they?

"Going Across" 25 years ago was awesome, grilled quail and margaritas at the Cadillac Bar then a $20 cover charge at one of the local discos where all the drinks were free and partying till dawn. frick the Cartels!

So what? If you look past the stack of bodies, you'd realize that NOLA has less chain restaurants per capita than any major city in America. How people could talk about incidental crap like crime and murder when we have culinary authenticity escapes me.

The aquarium is one of the places I'll be going so I'd like to know if it's a restricted area. I'd like to be able to have it when going to and from other locations. I'm not concerned that I'll need it in the actual aquarium, retard.

Murder, rape and corrupt politics is what makes NOLA, NOLA.
Embrace it
Embrace it

Exactly. That any local yokels from places where Burger King is considered fine dining would be concerned about something as inane as daily murder in the streets just points to their lack of culinary sophistication.

We know Mitch isn't going to do anything to help the problem. And the race pimps will fight any meaningful attempts at change.
Kind of throught with the booming real estate market and price inflation that we would have had some better luck at pricing the scum out
I spent the weekend at a hotel in the warehouse district and it's been a great time. Lots of families out and about and touring the hotel lobby's has been great for my kids.
And for the tiny dicks like TIGERLEE there were very few of those scary dark people around

What if I'm going to my friend's house on Bourbon? Something definitely needs to be done but I'm not sure if that's the answer. Bourbon is such a shithole. The corner of Canal and Carondelet/Bourbon is filled with the dregs of society, which sucks since that's where the streetcar lets off. And then once you're on Bourbon, like people have said there are just so many young males standing around doing nothing. They're not going into bars, so who knows what they're doing down there. In general I stay off Bourbon unless I'm going to Pat O's, which is like an oasis in the shithole that is Bourbon. Otherwise I walk down Royal to get into the heart of the Quarter.

You can't make a public street private dumb fricks. Bale street is a privately owned street that's why they check Ids with metal detectors.
