Water bill in NOLA is consistently 2x as much as any other city
Most places Ive lived water, sewer, garbage pickup, street lights etc all on one bill is never more than $30-40

Story of my life with the S&WB.
They sent me a "Notice of Impending Shutoff" for my water bill.
I've never not paid them. I called up. Couldn't get anyone on the phone. I finally just sent them a check for what they were asking for because I don't want to deal with it.
I also had a S&WB water meter drain leaking for 10 months until they finally sent someone out to deal with it.

Is that for 2 months though? Jefferson Parish water bills are every 60 days

My favorite was the several thousand dollar bill after Katrina. They were insistent that we owed it and would not turn our water on and we're taking us to collections for it.
There were only two small problems. We were not hooked up since katrina and did not have a water meter at all due to a debris truck removing it.
It took 2 different onsite visits - once with a low level guy and again with a manager to confirm that we did not have a water meter.

When I moved from the Jeff. Hwy-Highland Rd. area to Jeff. Terrace, I was switched from EBR Parish Water to Baton Rouge Water. They wanted me to put down a deposit. Their reason was that EBR Parish and Baton Rouge Water are two separate companies. I told them that I have had continuous service with them. However, Baton Rouge use to have only one company. My deposit was with them. So when the split up, I told them my deposit should have been grandfathered to cover both companies. I finally won that battle.
TLDR, I fought the law and I won.

I have to deal with S&WB from a professional standpoint and they are one of the most incompetent government agencies I've ever dealt with (you're fighting hard, St. Tammany). We've had to send important legal documents to third parties in the city to have them hand-delivered because they keep getting "lost."
Combine them with the Corps and you end up with a fricking epic comedy of incompetence.

St Bernard it's about 40 a month, but it's just water and sewer, no other stuff.
Katy it was $60-70 a month, no other stuff, but they had to actually get the water out the ground.

This NOLA comment was the same.....

Jefferson Parish... Bi-Monthly billing at half the price...lol And they're usually out there that day if a problem arises... That's the way tax dollars are supposed to work...
