And before any dumbass chimes in, yes the person is dead because of a vehicle accident. He wasn't shot.

I was on the other side. Dead from a wreck? Saw the 18 wheeler

It's always best to live in the city, traffic wise. I can get anywhere Uptown from the outskirts pretty quickly in the afternoon and also going out in the AM.

I heard it was the body of a tourist, bludgeoned to death by a gang of thugs.

In my adult life, I've lived in New Orleans, Houston, Los Angeles and Baton Rouge... The worst traffic by far was Baton Rouge.

I love how it takes a fatality on the interstate for NOLA to be compared to an ordinary Baton Rouge weekday.

It was a motorcyclist. I passed by before they removed the body. Helmet and boots were still on the road. Only other vehicle was an 18 wheeler. Really sad.

Don't try to take our crown. You keep the murders and we'll keep the traffic

Difference between us and the others? Our ancient interstates

I was stuck in a bullshite meeting downtown that didn't end until 6. This wreck completely fricked my commute home. The detour to Claiborne, Earhart over to Cleary, to Causeway left me with whiplash, busted struts, and bent alloy wheels.

WWL traffic alert
Traffic on the lakebound expressway backed up to the dome due to an accident with fatalities at Bonnabel.
Alternative routes are Canal to Vets or Earhart to Airline

Not to sound too hokey, but in situations like that, i always try to remind myself that it could be worse-- i could be the dead guy on the side of the road... of course, sometimes traffic is so bad that i wish i *were* the dead guy on the side of the road.

WWL King Edward Cigar Time...5:36, I'm Maury Magill....well, Don Ames NOW.
Sure do miss Tony Bonaguera doing traffic from the plane. He knew every street AND what was going down from 5,000 feet.
