When does traffic start to get bad in Mobile today going east? Going to Orange Beach. What time is the latest I can get through without having problems?

I would try to get through the tunnel by 3:00 pm or you are going to start seeing delays.

You'd assume wrong then. All the baws are taking half days today at work so they can get down to the bama for toss weekend.

do y’all recommend taking the Ft. Morgan ferry?
Seems like traffic getting down to Orange Beach from I-10 is worse than the tunnel traffic.

Yep, this is true, and I live on the Eastern shore so I know. On the return trip take your time, the closer to dark the better.

On a normal Friday, I'd say if you are through by 3 you are good

You'll be fine taking I-10 through the tunnel before 3. If going to Orange Beach, take the beach express which is a little further east down I-10 from the highway 59 exit. It will save a ton of time and you will only have to pay a couple bucks toll fee once you get near the beach. Good luck, have a good time, and enjoy our beaches.

Use the old tunnel or Africatown bridge if you trying to go through after 3:30.
