I've lived in Mobile for 22 years after moving here for college. Been to both Mobile Mardi Gras & New Orleans Mardi Gras multiple times.
It's been over a decade since I went to NOLA Mardi Gras, but from what I recall, it was just a full on party in the streets. The floats & costumes were more elaborate compared to Mobile.
Mobile Mardi Gras' only claim is being the first. It's fun, but NOLA is better in just about every aspect. Plus dem titties!!! I saw more titties on one block in NOLA than I've ever seen at every Mobile Mardi Gras. That number would be 0.
