It might get ugly...like CNN, rioting, scuffles type ugly.
This was the scene yesterday at the ED White statue. These scumbags need to be arrested.

I wonder what those two gentlemen had to say about the shooting at the park full of kids.

I hope the statues come to life and kill the protestors.

defacing public property much? imagine doing that to MLK.

Is it true most are Fedral property?

I was hoping they had forgot about this bullshite. I doubt it's gonna be voted on so soon though. They're probably gonna defer it to get public input and whatnot

So they already have the 4 votes they need?
And I agree - just imagine the opposite - if a feminist group wanted to remove MLK memorials because of his womanizing or a University wanted to distance itself from MLK because of his plagiarism...
Because no one is perfect.

you honestly think Mitch doesn't? he can't risk failure on his pet cause the past few months.
I think it's 7-0. At NOLA's heart it is a liberal and black city, and you can't win an election there any other way. St. Tammany, Jefferson, etc. don't get a say. Just the price of removing yourself from the city proper

Nice! One of my favorite albums.

unfortunately I think the same. It's political suicide if any of them vote against taking down the monuments.

Burning up all their vacation hours to protest. What a waste.

Is there still any doubt as to whether the Feds wil block the removal of a federal historic landmark?
I seem to remember questions about whether they could touch a federal listed place.

So what's the appeal process, if any, if this passes?
Posted on 12/2/15 at 12:36 pm to JS87
I already absentee voted for myself and all the dead people I know

Les Miles statues would look better.
