NOLA mob figure 'Frenchy' Brouillette got whacked over the weekend

Though New Orleans' police and coroner have not identified the man killed around noon inside a house in the 2400 block of North Tonti Street, author Matthew Randazzo said it was Brouillette, a longtime associate of purported New Orleans Mafia boss Carlos Marcello. Brouillette also was a distant cousin and associate of former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards, Randazzo said.
New Orleans police on Sunday issued an arrest warrant for 50-year-old William R. Bonham in connection with the fatal stabbing.

He was living in drug addled squalor in St. Roch. This wasn't some 'hit' out of Goodfellas. More like a drug fueled dispute in all likelihood.

I liked the book as well.
Met Randazzo at the book signing, and he suggested that Frenchy was hesitant to tell his stories even though most of the players are dead.

The suspect arrested was his roommate. The suspect is telling the police the two got into a fight and he stabbed Frenchy in self defense.
