She might actually be retarded

If this were a fact, she would not have been reelected

theoretically, yes.
the general citizens cannot really control who runs and who doesn't.

She wants to hire someone that is aligned with her belief that the criminal deserves preferential treatment.
She wants someone who believes that the criminal deserves consideration because of their upbringing or family circumstance.
She is soft on crime.
Citizens are afraid and moving out.
Anyone who drives around the city can see it. Laws are being broken all over the place. Graffiti everywhere. Car jackings. Mugging. Murders.

Very inaccurate. The vast majority of New Orleanians, of all races, have utter disdain for the mayor and the bullshite she pulls.
Then who voted for her?

Frankly I hope the next hurricane just destroys it for good.
That would probably be the final nail in the coffin for Baton Rouge. There’s no way BR could handle the criminals that would immediately move in and take over.

The answer is they can’t. The reason Teedy doesn’t want to release names is she has incompetent and woke black people in mind for the position (probably most are internal).
Oh, believe me, there's no doubt in my mind she's doing her best to pull some shady nepotism type deal to get a lame duck in that position before she leaves office as a last "frick You" to the citizens of N.O.
The good thing is, the next mayor can nix that deal and send the SOB packing with the stroke of a pen if they prove to be incompetent.

The next election isn’t until 2025. There will be nothing left by then.

Agree, the ultimate disgrace will be when the Saints move out and I think by 2035 they’ll be gone. NOLA is Oakland on the Bayou.

Then who voted for her?
Roughly 65% of a quarter of the population. So not many people

The NOLA leadership has gotten progressively worse.
What makes anyone think that the next mayor will be better?

It also allows them to control the city centers in states so they can harvest the ballots with little to no oversight because nobody is watching those major voting centers. Soros is no dummy.
Wasn't her first "win" another one of those "after midnight ballot bins that were found" that got her the votes needed?
Or was that another mayor or even JBE? Our elections here are rigged too. Hard to keep up.

Unless it’s Oliver most of the front runners are at least marginally better. Not great but at least presentable and a bit less of the middle finger in the air attitude

NOLA got what it voted for. The sad part is they'll do it again and maybe pick someone even worse come next election.

I’ve never seen a more incompetent idiot in my life. What an absolute joke of a human being, and she’s the mayor of one of the biggest cities in the country none the less
Posted on 7/7/23 at 9:12 am to TheSadvocate
What could the media possibly show them besides her face and any background info that any legitimate candidate should already know, that would scare them off?
Posted on 7/7/23 at 9:13 am to TheSadvocate
Put africa in charge, get africa.

Here's the thing with these Progressive leaders.
They are not at all "incompetent". They are professional liars and grifters that use stupid people (Progressive Democrats) to garner power and milk the tax payers dry. They do it in DC, they do it on a state level, and this is just a local-level example.
This woman doesn't have to pay taxes, flies first class everywhere, and even wins awards for her "leadership".
So, I have to ask, who is really the stupid one here?
I used to think the same thing about people like Maxine Watters, until I saw her wealth.
Latoya is a genius, and she knows any criticism will be met with potential cancelation from white Progressives.
