Serious question. What did she do before becoming mayor?

It might be that everyone is scared to say something for fear of being labeled a racist. That's where we are today unfortunately. You should see my inbox on Facebook.

She’s gonna end up costing New Orleans more than Katrina did.

100% correct

And that person will be Helena Moreno or J.P. Morrell

That’s exactly what the people who put her in office want.

She was on the City Council

Before that, she was a ‘community leader’

Before that, she was in Los Angeles

She was councilwoman for Broadmoor/Central City. She was a god councilperson. Beyond terrible mayor.

The dye is cast. JP isn’t running. Moreno is the next mayor.

Moreno will be better because she’s local. A local wouldn’t pull the shite Teedy pulls.

Isn't NOLA mayor a two term limit max? She's out in 2026 regardless. Needs to be in jail by the end of 2026, too.

She's as much, or less, of a local as LaToya is. At least LaToya went to Xavier. Helena went to SMU after being raised in Houston and being born in Veracruz. That's even further south than Compton.

I think Helena will be a better mayor than LaToya, but I think anyone with a pulse and a room temperature IQ would be a better mayor than LaToya. Just her political astuteness alone will keep her from alienating a good portion of the populace.

I can't say for sure that Helena will be a better mayor than LaToya, but it's hard to imagine her being worse.

Very inaccurate. The vast majority of New Orleanians, of all races, have utter disdain for the mayor and the bull shite she pulls.

Wait, what? She was RE-ELECTED in a landside. The vast majority think she is doing a great job.

That vast majority had a chance to purge her and her staff out but it didn’t happen.

The only hope for NOLA is that the vast majority of citizens sat home on Election Day instead of voting, and that allowed her to be re-elected.

Sadly the truth is that if 100% of the population voted, then she probably would have still been re-elected.

The vast majority do not think she’s doing a good job and she was re-elected because there wasn’t a viable candidate. It was a dog and pony show.

Deals were cut to make sure that was how it unfurled. Hell, she got over 30k signatures thrown out without a damn reason why.

The majority of New Orleanians do not like her. Look at approval polls if you need edification.

her approval rating was already low. It has dropped 14% from last year.

She had no legit contender last mayoral race
