NOLA Lyft Driver Accused of Rape

He's either the dumbest rapist alive or something is fishy. I can't conceive of how he thought he'd get away with this unless he thought she was just too drunk.

I refuse to believe any criminal would be this stupid, but I guess it wouldn't be the most surprising thing in the world either. This is why you have a cheap dashcam if you drive for Uber/Lyft.

If she lives "a mile from the bywater" you assume its on the new orleans side of the river.

If she called a Lyft then her phone was working to call/report that he was taking her somewhere besides her destination

This is the article headline.
"Lyft driver kidnapped, raped New Orleans woman: JPSO"
Most of the time news outlets go out of their way to say "alleged" even if there is clear video of the act. Now they decide to run with this hard line? I don't care if it came from JPSO or not. This guy could very well be a rapist, but this guilty until proven innocent stuff in select cases is why so many people distrust the media.
