Hey, whatever it takes to increase his cache with the Aspen Institute and the rest of the national liberal glitterati, I guess.

Felton just admitted up to 5 or 6 firefighters were there involved in taking down the statues.
Heads are about to start rolling
the ONLY reasonable explanation is they are employees of the construction company (as you know... most firefighters have 2nd, 3rd, 4th jobs)
but even then it's touchy b/c normal city employees... to my knowledge... are supposed to stay out of politically charged deals

There should be a fricking bevy of enraged citizens at city hall right now.......that's right most of the citizens who paid for this with their tax dollars are working.

Yea that's pretty infuriating. Regardless of where you stand in the debate it's not the job of firefighters to take them down. Mitch won't give a shite though.

Mitch and the fire chief should both step down.......

Video: 'Handful' of New Orleans firefighters involved in Liberty Place removal, official says
quote:
Firefighter union president Nick Felton confirmed Wednesday that "a handful" of firefighters were involved in the process of removing the Battle of Liberty Place, something he said raised concerns about their safety.
Felton said he was not clear on what role the firefighters played in the removal and could not say for certain whether specific members of the New Orleans Fire Department's leadership who were identified in social media posts were in fact on the scene.
"The bottom line is that with these Confederate monuments is it's nothing that we really deal with as firefighters," Felton said. "We should not be in riot gear. We should not be doing police-type work. And we are absolutely concerned that that type of thing is going on."

Go take a look at the advocate and wwltv's Facebook page.
They streamed an interview a few minutes ago.

Heads should roll. But they won't, because Mitch the Bitch and the Democrap Crime Cartel will circle the wagon and scream racism.

Nothing but bullshite in LA govt, will never change.
I wish someone would just swing a wrecking ball into these damn things before these asshats get satisfaction of taking more down.
No matter what you do, there will always be someone that has a problem with another because of the color of their skins. Taking this shite down won't solve anything.
At times I miss where I grew up, but being 15 yrs out of LSU and LA, I have no desire to return living there. You can have the corruption and shitty govt, F that.

Don't forget the snipers that were in place. Yes, the mayor was willing to kill over this.
If that's legit information, it deserves a federal investigation.

Problem Solving Skills should be necessary. However there should be written objective measures and not some subjective figuration
