From what I've been told, they bussed a large number of the homeless population out of the city prior to the Super Bowl as well as increased police presence in order to make the city look better to a national audience. Now a lot of those former homeless people are in Baton Rouge. I know a number of businesses in the midcity area have experienced an increase in issues over the last year due to this.

I mean, pretty sure Landry also staffed a bunch of state troopers in the FQ too.

Ever since Landry became Governor, I’ve noticed a larger State Police presence in New Orleans.

Yeah, it’s called troop NOLA and it’s one of the only good things Landry has done, but I definitely give him props for fighting to make New Orleans safer. It’s my favorite city in the world.

Oh look here. Another stupid lie for Baton Rouge to use as an excuse.

Fewer targets = lower crime rate.

This is a weird quote from the article. From crime analyst Jeff Asher:

If this is an actual decrease, unlike under Morial, this is great news for the city and should be championed but NOLA supporters.

WTF does thst even mean?

Good for NOLA on the murder reduction, Im skeptical of any property crime reduction. I don't think anyone calls those in anymore.

Well when you have some of the best hospitals and medics located downtown, and the worst shooters, you can easily avoid murder and turn it into attempted murder since the victim didn’t die, of course murder stats will decline.

I found 6 people that did not get the old joke. Even in the ole Charity days, New Orleans was known for having some of the best trained emergency surgeons in the country because of having to deal with the crime problem.

Yes, NOPD with the help of Troop NOLA is helping.

It very well could be a lie. I was told that by a business owner in midcity who's been having a much higher rate of issues in the last 6-9 months. And that's what the local police have told them. I'm just relaying what I was told
