The cops busting these places are typically not worried about you getting a handjob
By the time they crack down on these places it’s more about human trafficking and money laundering. Usually the women they arrest just get replaced

Since numerous people were arrested, I assumed it was for trafficking and/or money laundering, this takes several months of police work.
Many times the businesses shut down temporarily and are rebranded as another Asian massage place. Therefore the problem isn’t solved.
Personally If I’m a nearby business owner I’d just mind my own business unless I had hard evidence. I’m not going to rat out a business simply because I’m nosy

The truth is that the top law enforcement officers at these agencies didn’t receive a satisfactory bribe.

Everyone I know who goes to these are also the same people who complain about not being able to afford a down payment on a house. Why go out when you can stay home and do it yourself.

I have one of these places in my town. It looks exactly like what you would think a rub-n-tug place would look, but there is one lady there who I swear has a phd in anatomy. I went in with a knot in my back and she started working in out from my calf. She was explaining all kinds of medical terminology while she worked on it about how it was all connected, and I’ll be damned if she didn’t get it completely worked out in about 30 mins. I was sore the next day from her elbows and knees, but that knot was sure gone.

You looking at this all wrong. You not paying for the sex, well yiu kinda are. But you are paying for her to leave and the no headaches.
Think about it, why buy a car that only depreciates as it gets older. Doesn’t work as good as it ages. Or you can rent a new car anytime you want, that will always look good and always perform when you want it to.
And will probably be a lot cheaper in the long run…..

In BR, it’s not even that.
I know of an Asian guy in BR who runs a few of these places. A few years ago, his house was crawling with cops. They found a huge stash of cash in the house and seized it as “evidence”.
They never shut any of his establishments down. He was arrested, booked and released. Nothing ever happened to him.
It’s pretty clearly all about the shakedown and not missing any payoffs.

This goes for drugs as well. If the government really wanted to fix these problems they would take a new approach and legalizing would make it easier to, take these supplies (drugs, women) off the street which in theory would at least reduce street crime. There has to be a reason they do not want to really fix these issues.
