Is it commonplace for people not to be able to sleep during storms?

Never been an issue for me in my 35 years on this planet.

Margaret Orr is now scaring me by repeatedly saying “that’s not good” as she looks at storm stalling over Orleans Parish.

Well, it gets harder to sleep in general as you get older.

Then, depending where you were tonight, it was lightning & thunder/concussions going off nonstop like a war zone.

That, and the foot or so of rain that fell, tends to provide for some light to moderate anxiety...at least for this old man.

But if you can sleep, logoff and go dodo my man.

Just had to move my truck in Lakeview. After lightning struck my house or the power line next to my house and knocked out my internet and thermostat

We have one rule in my house with the dogs. Don't give the puppy people food. Big dogs can eat whatever. Puppy can only have bread, lean meat or starchy items.

Gf gave him chicken legs.

Puppy proceeded to firehose two gallons of liquid shite all over hia kennel, the wall, everywhere.

So... I'm awake.

That's my favorite time to sleep. What kind of pussy can't fall asleep during a thunderstorm?

Sleep when we're dead, right?

ETA: We are in a drought here. It's been months of cloudless, blue skies.
