Restaurants need to only accept reservations via Apps and require a valid credit card to seat anyone who wants to eat at your restaurant to stop this crap from happening.

A guy I know did a dine and dash at a restaurant in our hometown recently. They took his picture from the cameras and put him on blast on social media.
Our local, family-owned grocery store places a picture at every register and on the glass doors of shoplifters caught on camera.

This is how stereotypes get started. The next time a group of young African Americans go to that restaurant, the staff will be more suspicious. Unfortunate , but it’s just human nature.

And the staffs parents will just say "we told you so". Things haven't changed in generations no matter how much white guilt tries to throw money at fixing it.
If cars didn't auto lock when put in gear, that random locking sound would be way more natural to the younger gen. It was like a signal from your parents to put your head on a swivel.

Would be cool to get a camera with facial recognition software and create an app where restaurants load pictures of perps who do this, and when they go to other restaurants that restaurant can use the app and facial recognition cameras at the entrance to flag potential problem customers so they can refuse service or make them pay when they order

That sounds cool but it's much easier to just make them open up a tab. I'm surprised more places don't do this already.

Shoney’s on College in BR got protested and shut down over that because some of the people showing up were from a black clergy convention.
There were also problems in the 90s when Denny’s was accused of racism for doing the same.
