My wife hates it when I sleep and she is awake. When my kids were babies and not sleeping so we were not sleeping I used to park at a grocery store and take a thrifty minute nap.

Whatever you do, stay calm like you say you're doing. If you blow up, it will only solidify what the mother is saying. You can make a play by spending more quality time with your child.

Unfortunately, things like this should have been identified in the dating process and you should have perceived this behavior prior to and you should have dumped her.

Yes, I feel bad for you too.

What % of your time is arguing and what % of the time is like good? Think about that before you commit to not being around your wife 100% of the time and your kids AT LEAST 50% of the time. When you are all alone you may be wishing you had all of the good times with a few annoying times.

I can relate (still married, 3 and 5 year old). Wife had similar childhood problems and primarily is a stay at home mom. Here is what I got:

- Love and respect. Period. Women need love (LOTS of love) and men need respect. Both need to happen. I would be her "love cup is empty" which is why you don't feel respected.
- Beware the ego. Damn that ego.
- Alcohol fuels fights like gasoline. She needs to start smoking weed. I quit all together, but that and Prozac helps her stress and hormonal issues;
- Hunker down and be the picture perfect husband. Shower her with love and affection, even though your ego is fighting that effort. Hug your kid and spend lots of time together as a family;
- Start adjusting to a life without the OT pay. I know it seems impossible, but life is way to damn short to spend it at the job. Start figuring out other ways to haul in cash or cut bills. All you are doing is fattening some exec's pockets while he sips JW Blue at da club laughing at you.

Good luck. It will be hard, but your kids lives are at stake.

Kids are smart. Stay in the picture and always be honest with your son. Tell him you love him, daily. One day, he will like you more than mom.

Wow broseph. That was well stated. In my mind, you're known for a laugh, not depth.

Good job!

Dump her. Now. It's only going to get worse. I'm sorry you knocked up such a stupid bitch. But it's your life. Change it before it's too late.

So what you're saying is that you married white trash, knowing she was white trash, and now you don't know what to do when she exhibits her white trashiness.

ice a month, things are worse than normal and involve my wife grabbing our son in a big show of theatrics, standing there with him saying things like "daddy doesn't loves us" or "daddy is a bad person" etc. and storming off with him, slamming doors and the like.

Split family or not, that's when I'm out. I would have already left over some childish bullshite like that
