According to my family in Scotland-there’s not going to be a Great Britain-Scotland will hold a referendum and declare themselves an independent Country...a proper border between the Republic and Norn Iron will result in new internecine violence...

A no-deal Brexit likely won't be pretty, but this reads more like a worst-case-scenario than anything.

Ever heard of a YouTube channel called CPGrey. He does very interesting and short videos regarding Brexit.
The big issue is that you and others are assuming that Britain will keep all of their trade partners and status that they had prior to WWII. Some of those countries get better benefits under the EU than they do UK by itself.
The difference between the US and the UK is that the US has enough raw material to get things ourselve. We don't rely on outside imports to maintain stability (although they do help). UK by contrast is an Island. The British Empire sustained itself in large part because of the wealth of its colonies.
Look, I'm all for self governance. But I don't see the benefit of trying to reset everything back to pre WWII status quo. That all but guarantees war. The only beneficiary that comes from Brexit is the US.

Nah the infrastructure simply isn’t there. The ports couldn’t handle checking every third truck/container coming into the country-the bottleneck on the highways would paralyze Maidstone etc.

The vote was to leave the EU but did not state how they would leave the EU. This was a major flaw in the Brexit referendum language which should have had more details....but then it wouldn't have passed. They also voted for the current parliament AFTER THE BREXIT VOTE, the majority of which are fine with Brexit but anti-no deal.

There's only a small portion of the government that wants Brexit. The vast majority of the media is against Brexit as well and they're doing everything they can to make it seem like the apocalypse.

Something that I read a bit ago. An independent Scotland may not qualify for membership because its deficit-to-GDP ratio is nearly 10%. The EU demands 3% of its members, and even though it gives countries a fair amount of leeway, Scotland’s deficit is off the charts.
