How is smoking a blunt harming anybody?

Agreed. And selling a little yak here and there never hurt nobody either.

Agree with most of your sentiment, but quit trying to act like this was some law abiding citizen who was just enjoying some recreational drugs in his living room by himself.

I remember the last time I "accidentally" offered drugs to a trooper...

Darwinism at work.

The ignorance and baboon level intellect in this thread make me sad :

Are you 'people' really so Neanderthal to think it's appropriate kill a teenager for driving away from a cop?

Have we really sunk this low?

I've never understood how societies devolved into nazi germany, mao's China, n. Korea, or castro's Cuba. Now I see the same mentality on a college football message board. Weird shite.

Pretty much anyone who uses this and believes it, is outing themselves as unintelligent.

People like that would rather see cops die or be severely injured rather someone simply hand over a license, or NOT drive a car at an officer.

It's sad honestly.

This did not happen on that video. The car was clearly trying to go around and get away. The car never went above 2mph or so.

when the officer fired the shots, the officer was to the SIDE of the car. To the side. Cars don't go sideways from a stop.

I guess this is why Birmingham police aren't allowed to pursue a car that flees a traffic stop.

There were so many things that that cop could have done in that situation other than shoot the kid in the face. shoot the tires, call for backup-anything other than straight up murdering the kid.

Did you even watch the video? He was trying to run over a police officer after a drug deal gone south.

Typical cop mo of character assassination. Meanwhile if it was a cop on the receiving end we'd hear how he had a family with kids and he was such a good cop even if he was a BWPOS.

What about personal responsibility on the drug users part?

I was starting to feel bad for the kid until I read he had 800+ texts of drug deals, wanting to go out "guns blazin", getting "Outlaw" tattooed on his forearm, AND had a warrant out for his arrest anyway.

The nieve mother saying he fled because someone came at him with a gun is in complete denial of her TPOS son

I must not understand something...

if the guy that is running has already gone past or around the cop, the cop should let him go because his life is no longer in danger

in this video the cop does not need to shoot this guy, a cop should shoot a guy if he feels like he is about to be killed if he doesn't shoot. the cop could have easily just let this guy run away and radioed another unit to pursue him.

yeah I don't feel bad for the kid at all, seems this would have been the way it ended for him either way. but I don't think the cop needed to shoot him in this situation

I don't see any way that the officer could have believed his life was threatened.

That looked like murder to me. Regardless of how bad of a guy the criminal was.

More intelligent than someone who believes a cop has a right to escalate a non-deadly situation to a deadly situation because of:

quote:

simply hand over a license, or NOT drive a car at an officer.

Especially when you can't point to the part in the video where he is driving his car at the cop. And fyi, just because a cop asks you for your driver's license doesn't mean you need to provide it.

Anyone that says the kid was trying to or even able to run over the cop given their relative position is a fricking idiot.

Agree actually. I'm not going to mourn for this idiot, but that was not a good shoot. He shot a suspect because the suspect was fleeing, not because he was in danger.

Anybody watching the video and saying otherwise is being disingenuous.

19.

So while technically accurate, constantly referring to him as a "teen" is obviously done with purpose. It's more bullshite from media sources looking to add fuel.
