sn't Datsun created so Mitsubishi could sell cars to the US and the WW2 vets wouldn't get pissed that it was the same company that made Japanese fighter planes?

Datsun was a Nissan brand name for imports. It wasn't a Mitsubishi company. Eventually Nissan phased out the Datsun brand.

GOAT...No, 3000's are a nightmare to work on or modify.. not to mention plenty of other issues.

Never owned one back then but considering it was a rebadged Dodge Stealth, I am not surprised it had issues.

Back in those days though I loved the look of a 3000GT

90's eclipses were cool too but everyone and literally their grandmother owned one back then

I'd settle for a good old fashion Datsun (Ford Courier) pickup.

Had a Mazda engine in it. Weird.

Datsun pickups must have been good. I still see a few on the road every so often.

Actually I think the 3000 was an improved version of the stealth.. Dodge just didn't make a good anything outside of the viper in the early 90's

Still is a sweet looking ride..

Most 90's sports cars still hold up looks wise if you think about it

I'd own every one of these.

You're right - the Ford Courier was a Mazda. Ford had a longstanding partnership with Mazda.

The Datsun wasn't though. That was their own thing - the forerunner for the Hardbody/Frontier line.

The Datsun brand is alive and well outside of the USA. They make a smaller SUV that I have driven a few times and it is pretty good. Of course an OT balla would never drive it, but it was still pretty good.

My brother had a 710 wagon for his first car. That thing was awesome.

Keep the look exactly like this but with modern technology underneath and I would buy one in a second.

Speaking of old Nissans...a few months back I ran across a Datsun Maxima Diesel on Craigslist. I didn't remember them making these things. Have any of you had any experience with the old Maxima diesels?
