Anyone else can’t quit nic? I stopped vaping 60mg a week or two ago and switched to lozenges, which fill the void well enough. Quitting the lozenges would be unthinkable though

When I quit nic it feels like my iq drops 30 points no joke

I used to smoke years ago but I quit using nicotine gum. I've been chewing that stuff for like 10-12 years now though

Nicoderm patches. Do the whole 10 week set. Chew toothpicks for the hand-to-mouth part of the addiction.

One of the hardest addictions to quit. Where nicotine binds to the GABA receptors in your brain makes it more addictive than heroine, good luck….

You just have to stop. You've weaned off as much as you can. Time to rip the band aid off.

ETA: I smoked cigs for 20 years and stopped with vaping. At some point I just threw it in the trash and never went back.

I quit smoking three years ago. Used patches for a few weeks, and now I have several boxes of patches that I never used. I forgot about smoking after a few days

Quit dipping cold turkey with 0 issues for 2 years. Decided to grab me a can on a fishing trip. Had one dip, it sat in my truck for weeks. Thought I finally broke the habit.

Went right back to it. About a year later I found zyn, the tobbaco free nicotine pouches. I pretty much live with one in my mouth. Bought a can of dip, hated it. Haven't had one since.

Strange thing is, if I forget to put a zyn in I will go hours without noticing. It's definitely all mental now.

Chantix. You get to quit smoking and the dreams are like the most fricked up surreal movie you've ever seen.

I quit cold turkey. It sucks.

After day 3 the nicotine is out of your system.

But the battle is far from over. I had dip dreams for years. My mouth still waters just thinking about it now.

But after 6 years I don't much think about it anymore. Literally life changing not planning my day around my next dip.

Hardest thing I ever did was to quit. However I was an expert at quitting I quit several thousand times. Don't give up Billy, Keep swinging away. By the way I went could turkey just trying 1 second at a time, than 1 minute, then 1 hour.

I smoked cigarettes for over thirty years. I finally gave them up a little over a year ago on October 1, 2020. This may have been the hardest thing that I have ever done, but the benefits are worth the pain.

You must be ready and determined.

I’ve got a pinch of some Copenhagen in right now. Been dipping for 19 years now. I actually quit in early 2029 but covid made me start back up

Why are you worried about nicotine? Smoking is one thing, but nicotine in and of itself is not bad.

I quit dipping 8 years ago and I could go back to a can a day right now like I never stopped.

For me every day has been like the day after I quit, hasn't gotten a bit easier.

Zyn helps me not smoke as much, although it’s still nicotine.
