I think the season will be cancelled this year due to Covid and hopefully the world will settle down enough by next season to where this isn't the #1 topic of every fricking conversation. Maybe then, people will be so eager for football that they'll actually wanna talk about, you know, football.

Between having a yard guy and not watching football on Sundays I'll need to find a new hobby. Probably a good time to get a boat.

the years it dropped is when Kaepernick started his propaganda and Trump called him out on it. the last two years did slightly go up (less than 5%) because the NFL calmed down with promoting propaganda, but it's still lower than it use to draw.
so 2019 finally got back to where they were in 2016 when the propaganda started. which is still 1-1.5 million average less than they had for a decade before.
and that was just for kneeling ... what do you think the backfire is going to be for their full blown anti-police, anti-Republican, nonfactual, hate campaign they are doing now?

I was being a little facetious, but the 5% bump in 2019 vs the double digit viewership it had the 2-3 seasons before still leaves overall it down more than 10% before going into this season, which I imagine will be done this year.

So I think this is going to be the single greatest mistake we’ve seen a major sports league make in modern history. For an industry as big as what the NFL is, I’d have assumed they tested this out to check the pulse of the average fan. To see what the typical football consumer would take. But it really looks like none of that took place.
White people aren’t going to accept this. I’m not trying to be racially divisive, but how could playing something called the “black national anthem” be seen as anything other than being just that?
I’ve said before, the NFL should fear one thing from white people more than a boycott: Alienating white people to the point they aren’t interested. I won’t get on facebook and rant about how I’m boycotting, I just won’t watch the NFL because they’ve made me no longer WANT to watch it.
