Depends on the context. If they're celebrating their sobriety while accepting the fact that they're an addict and all the consequences that come with that then awesome for them. Doesn't bother me at all.

If they're trying to use Facebook to paint a picture of sobriety when they're still using and still blaming everyone else for their mistakes, then that shite gets old real quick.

I've got it...maybe they're such dickheads that they use social media as a sort of accountability platform so that not only everyone expects them to be sober and clean, but others will know that they're trying and will hopefully take a hint not to tempt them. What selfish jerks

I know. I hate when people use social media the exact way it was intended. Pisses me off too.

Worst types:
1. People who go on rants on facebook about someone being trash or what to do/ not to do, yet they misspell like 10 words.
2. People who post political stauses. Makes me automatically look down upon them if they are democrat
3. Girls who post pics just to get likes. (Happens more on instagram). Have to post a pic over every single occassion, every job offer, every minor thing in life.

I'm normally all about complaining about petty shite like this but I can't support this. Addiction sucks, whatever helps people stay clean is good.

Quit being an a-hole.

The only thing I ever get upset seeing on Facebook is people that post vague statuses.

"WOW that was crazy!"

"Sad to hear about the bad thing that happened"

Etc.

1. Stop being an A-hole. You really should be thankful you've been blessed with a different road to walk down.

2. Delete Facespace.

How about girl who can't go on vacation without striking a yoga pose. Usually accompanied by generic "deep" quote

Not on Facebook, but after reading about some of the shite people post on there, people posting their days clean doesn't seem so bad.

.

There's a difference between posting on a message board where all people know about you is a user name and Facebook where everyone who sees your posts knows exactly who you are.

If you are so judgemental of people who have made mistakes and poor decisions, you should do them a favor and unfriend them.

Not directed at you in particular, but I love a good Facebook thread on the OT. I'm not sure what is better:

A) The people who bitch about what they read/see when they are the ones who have COMPLETE control over their feed.

B) The people who don't have Facebook, yet wear it as some sort of badge of honor in these threads and preface every post with that caveat.

Exactly. Makes me wonder what heinous form of social media they do take part in?

My "never been married buddy" used to tell me about Chat Roullette.

I always curious as to why he is single and NOT on Tinder? Seems he is doing this wrong? Or is he too old at 44?

Back to the OP. My least favorite are the Debbie Downers.

They comb the World Wide Web to find any morsel of woe. Usually a child being murdered and horribly, or a mother. Or cancer stricken. A dead cop? I understand if it their local news story, fine. But to look all over the web?

What search engine is used? ShitThatSucks.com

I have 7 sisters in 3 states. If it wasn't for Facebook we wouldn't be able to keep up with each other so I'm happy to have it.
