Why even replace a windshield in Alabama unless the crack is just annoying?

It's not like Louisiana...there's no vehicle inspection.

There should be an extra ta on dump trucks that pays into a general windshield fund. How are you supposed to stay back 200 feet when they do 80mph and cut in and out of lanes like sports cars?

five, five windshields I have bought since 2010, F dump trucks.

Is there anything better than a brand new, crack free windshield to start the day? It's like the world opens up.

It's glorious. The last time I replaced mine the new one cracked the very first day from a rock on the interstate. Needless to say, my blood pressure was off the charts. That was 2 years ago. Still have not fixed the new divot - and I have had 3 more since so glad I didn't.

i literally had the exact scenario; cut off by a dumptruck coming back from getting a new windshield and got a HUGE crack.

i was super pissed.

that and rocks that seems to come out of nowhere (no other vehicles) like some kind of fricking meteor.

You do know that the driver is responsible for what leaves his vehicle, regardless of what he has written on the back of his vehicle, right? My lawyer has a standard letter he sends out for his clients on stuff like this after the guy balks when you call and complain.

the oncoming dump truck that throws meteors at your windshield when they pass are the best.

A similar feeling when I get my car detailed and they clean it on the inside and out. Feels like a new windshield.

I have no cracks, but I soon will because of this post.

$213

I don't use insurance for stuff like this.

If you have $0 deductible and do this once a year or every two, they don't mind(well they won't raise your premium), depending on the agency. call and ask. Could be easy as a phone call and save you $213 every couple years.
