Price tires on simple tire.com, compare with price quoted by Discount Tire etc.

The least expensive route would be to make sure you do not get the cheapest tires you can find

I go to the closest Ford dealership to get Pirelli Scorpions for the wife’s SUV or Continentals for my BMW…for some reason they have a better network and can get pretty much anything I want. Strange for sure.

I haven't bought new tires in years but I used Discount Tire in the past.

Need to replace boat trailer tires this offseason and not sure how I'm gonna manage that with the boat on the trailer.

I think there’s a difference between trying to be frugal and just being cheap.

What’s wrong with this OP?

I need a new set of rubber for a Cayenne. What’s the least expensive route to take? I’ve priced Tirerack and other local Firestone/Goodyear shops in the past and the difference was not that much after labor hassle etc.

In general Costco or Sams may be the best deal but I don’t know if they can do a Cayenne.

Any advice is appreciated

there's two things you never go cheap on:

tires
mattress

So you bought a Porsche Cayenne, an overpriced Ford Explorer ST, and now you are wanting to cheap out on the tires?

Which one involves buying a Porsche? When the maintenance on one (even that pathetic boxer) is going to be expensive?
