But it's the women who are in their 30s and grew up listening to her that she is marketing herself to. She isn't making music for teens anymore. That was years ago. She makes the music she wants to make and it is most certainly not directed towards teens. Her real audience grew up with her.

I'm guessing it's geared towards some previous management or Scooter Braun regarding the whole rights to her music thing. I haven't read that deeply into it yet though, so I could be wrong. I'm on my second listen now. The highs (Opalite, Fate of Ophelia, Ruin the Friendship) are high, the lows (Father Figure, Eldest Daughter) are low. I think her core fanbase will love it but the general public will be kind of critical.

True accents and most speech impediments dont come across when singing. Anytime I hear Morgan Wallen or Lauren Daigle singing with their absurdly thick accents all I can think about is how fake and put on it is.
