Get involved in your city
Watch your council member & mayor
Talk to them, push for better hiring policies, push for pay raises to attract better applicants
Watch where they spend your tax dollars, if you don’t like it run against them or support a candidate that aligns with your belief
Bottom line, hold city government accountable, they are the ones who sets policy

Yea you can totally not kill citizens who are entirely restrained in your custody without being any less tough on crime. So what if someone struggles for 5 minutes longer while they’re handcuffed, if they deserved a death sentence it should be done by a jury of peers not a frustrated revenue collector.

End traffic stops. They're an obsolete relic of when driving an auto was a dangerous rich man's hobby. Cars in 2020 are more analogous to what horses were in 1900 than what cars were, and nobody ever got pulled over on a horse back then.

They’re probably of the more dangerous situations cops put themselves in too. Seems like a win-win. Speeding... Get a scan of the plate and send them a ticket.

1. Let black police handle black criminals. It would fail but it would be fun to prove BLM and the media wrong.
White police: m'aam, I can't help you. But I just called a fellow black officer. He should be here 30 minutes to stop this guy from breaking and entering.

Only 9 unarmed black men and 19 unarmed white men were killed by police last year out of the millions of police/citizen interactions. Sure it could always be better, but a kill rate of around 0.0001% is pretty damn impressive.

More proactive and less responsive. Back to cops on neighborhood beats. Cut the bloated administrations and bloated equipment budgets. Higher salaries. Cut down on the civil service protections that make it hard to fire a guy after 18 complaints.
