Yeah I get what you are saying, but it's been a long time since I've heard so much bullshite going on. A relative of a friend had 80 rifle rounds put in his car the other day, then the next night one of the other ones got killed.

I've been hearing this stuff the past few months way way more than I have in years.

Most of the murders in Chicago happen on the south side in certain neighborhoods. I would say the south side of Chicago is still more dangerous
I've compared the most dangerous neighborhoods in Chicago to the most dangerous in New Orleans before, and the most dangerous areas in New Orleans are, per capita, still more dangerous than Chicago's worst neighborhoods.

I guess I get what you're saying. It has been a few years since it's been at this level. They're always beefing, but it is peaking again right now.

Yeah a bunch of retaliatory killing from what I understand and once it starts going back and forth it's hard to stop.

so is the article headline "New Orleans passes Chicago in number of fatal shootings" fake?

They blame Katrina.

They say they saw so much death and trauma that it causes them to act the way they do.

These kids committing the majority of the crimes and murders were barely walking and talking when Katrina hit.

Why? Are they thugs?

No, I'm just glad they don't live in the city with the highest number of murders in the US.

Anyone would be dumb for feeling otherwise.

I hear you but does your sister and nephew fit the profile of the majority of these victims?

What are the chances they would have gotten murdered given they weren't criminals?

I've lived here for 17 years and have yet to know one person that has been murdered.

No, they don't. But they're are many more gun/gang/drug related crimes in cities with a high murder rate. So I believe they're safer because there's less of a chance of being an innocent victim of any sort of violent crime.

Where did they move?

How many innocent white females and young white boys are being gunned down in the streets of New Orleans?

They hear much fewer gunshots on a day to day basis, sounds safer to me. All it takes is one stray bullet.

And I won't tell you where they live, don't trust you, you live in the murder capital of the US.

They lived in mid- city in n.o by City Park, and you're an idiot.

One gunshot a week vs 0 would still be an improvement dipshit.

They lived in the hood if they were hearing gunshots daily

They heard one gunshot a week and they moved?

I have a feeling they moved to Baton Rouge and you're too embarrassed to admit it.
