Nowhere near baton rouge. They love n.o, but didn't want to raise their son in that culture where drugs and violent crimes are reported in nearby areas every day.
They moved to a better state, sorry not sorry. It's beautiful and people are just nicer in everyday interactions there. They made the right call for themselves and their kid.

Growing up there, I heard gunshots one time when we were pulled over on the terry parkway exit from the projects right there. Actually got us out of a ticket because the cop left to go to the shots.
But yea I grew up on the westbank(lol) and I never heard that shite anywhere.
Exaggerating stuff on here makes your point better though

Sounds like you're tuning it out if you live in n.o bc it happens virtually daily.
By hearing it, also consider how many days you wake up and hear that there was a "murder/shooting in New Orleans."
You're still hearing about a violent crime in the city.

If you lived in n.o, how many mornings did you hear about a shooting/murder the night before?
My sister hardly ever starts her day off with those type of reports. Therefore=safer. How TF can you say a city with the most murders isn't more dangerous than any other?

That's great. Good for them. I'm glad they're happy. This is a beautiful country and there are some beautiful much safer and places with better quality of life.
But don't come in here and say they moved because they heard one gunshot a week and were generally afraid for their lives when they don't even fit the demographic of the victims and don't live in the hood.
Yes there are isolated and random incidents that happen to innocent people but that happens everyday, everywhere.

Hearing about it on the radio or tv is vastly different than hearing the actual gunshots daily.
Lol jeez

1 gunshot a week is not why they moved. That's not what I said. What I said was they moved to a safer place because it doesn't lead the country in murders, one where gunshots are far more uncommon. I said the a big reason they moved was not wanting to raise a kid in that environment. Clearly they moved to a place that emphasizes literacy a lot more than n.o.

Lol if you hear about it every day I'm sure you do say jeez and roll your eyes at it. Or, you live in a place where people aren't murdered all the time and they talk about the weather or traffic on the radio when you're driving in to work.
But your right I'd rather hear about how many ppl were shot the night before and I'd feel safer for my family.

No. Not Rhode island. Good question though.

Yeah, I'm saying I'd rather live in a place where they didn't have to report about murders all the time because that was the news.. How can you seriously argue that the city with the highest number of murders is as safe as any other? Full tard?

I already said they lived in mid-city by Central Park, do you consider that the ghetto? Then n.o is worse than I thought.

Your little snowflake nephew has a better chance of ODing on Herion in whatever city he moved to than he had getting murdered had he stayed in New Orleans.
