I try and stay away from Bourbon Street as much as I can. That place is a shithole and my chances of getting shot are much greater.

Is that supposed to make your argument about how safe n.o is? That even the locals won't go to the most notable part of the city as far as the rest of the US is concerned for fear of being shot?

Damn you don't pay attention. I named where my sister lived. Beyond that I worked for my brother-in-laws company and the bulk of our work was in the 8th-9th Ward. Beyond THAT I've had several family and friends involved with groups, Mardi Gras crewes, family functions that the bulk of my commentary is not based on Bourbon. I decided about a decade ago that I hate Bourbon Street. You're the local and even you agreed about that.
