I have been always wanting to go back home ever since Katrina but I got my chance to become educated in Houston. I got two great job offers: one in Houston and one in New Orleans. Family has been telling me to stay in Texas but I'm leaning towards going home. Am I wrong? I know it's my life and it's up to me, but I want opinions. Thanks everybody

What's your family situation? Married, kids. Age, profession?

I'm from New Orleans, but moved to Houston several years ago and could never go back. So many things to do in Houston, still drivable to go back to Nola for big events, and none of the bureaucratic bs to deal with (no state tax, cheaper car insurance, no Dwi checkpoints or speed traps, etc)

Houston posters will say Houston and vice-versa

Houston is cheaper, has better schools, better economy and a great food scene.

Grew up in and will always love New Orleans. I'll never live there again though.

I love football so going home is an obvious plus and she loves scenic walks. Plenty of that in New Orleans. She is from katy, TX. Looks fantastic in a bikini. No pics

Houston if you're married with kids.
New Orleans if you're single.

I have lived in Louisiana pretty much all my life but have travelled a lot, both on business and pleasure. That being said, I can't see how anyone would want to live in New Orleans...visit, yes...live there...no way.

You can't really throw in the great food scene in a debate against New Orleans.
But overall I agree with you

If you look at everything on paper Houston is the answer, however I would never leave New Orleans for Houston. It is way too big and spread out for me.
