It really depends on where he/she would live in Nola. I wouldn't want to live in Kenner or some shite like that. I would live uptown or wharehouse district in a heartbeat.

Fact is if you haven't actually lived in Nola or Atlanta, your not a expert on the topic.

My previous employer used to give away tickets to shows there...I wanted to see Maroon 5 with my wife a few years ago but didn't get my name pulled

Yeah..

And sadly, Kenner, Metairie, and the quarter is what many people think of when they think of NOLA, but it just isn't even NOLA at all.

Atlanta is on the up while New Orleans is slowly going the grave. New Orleans culture is nothing but looking at the past and hoping it comes back.

Well I would never want to even visit Atlanta again really.

So I guess I can't say I would rather live in Nola and visi Atlanta.

Atlanta. I love NOLA but would never live there.

Have people who stated that they'd never live in New Orleans ever visited uptown or garden district? Or do you think that New Orleans is Bourbon St?

I may be wrong, but Atlanta probably has better job opportunities. I'd choose Atlanta.

I'm pretty sure everyone that said: "Visit New Orleans, Live Atlanta", thinks that New Orleans consists of Bourbon St.

For people that don't visit New Orleans a lot? I'm sure if you grab a random sample of people who aren't from this area, they would have no idea about uptown or garden district. Last night we took two of my wife's friends from Baton Rouge to our place here uptown and one of them stated, "I never knew New Orleans had a non shitty area".

Drastically misinformed or willfully obtuse.

Or maybe Atlanta has a much better economy, nicer suburbs, and better public schools for said suburbs.

Atlanta has a higher unemployment rate. Of course, there are other factors when deciding a better economy. Just adding a little tidbit.
