That is ridiculous. Sure, this mandate may harm them, but after just 4 days its an absolutely laughable news report that everyone should be making fun of

The mandate WILL harm them. You are removing a substantial amount of customers and not gaining anyone to cancel that out. I agree that they can’t really know the impacts yet.

We had a 700/night room booked for mid october to see some late night shows after jazz fest. 2 sets of tickets for both nights, and probably $200 in ubers. Throw in food and booze, and its easily a 3k weekend. Is that a ton? not really, but it will be spent in another city that weekend who wants the revenue, and not just the bailout.

Who would spend $700 on a hotel in a dump like New Orleans? Why not go somewhere nice?

This simply isnt true. There are people, because of the mandate, that now feel more comfortable to go to the restaurant

At the end of the clip, which aired last night on Laura Ingraham's show, Arroyo said that many restaurant owners declined to be filmed because they feared retribution from the Mayor.

Then respectfully, they deserve what they get. At some point, good people need to stand up for what they believe in even if the potential consequences are hard.

Truth is, most things worth having are worth fighting for. If you're not willing to fight for it, then maybe you don't really care about it or did not deserve it in the first place.

This is going to require a huge resistance. Force police to arrest hundreds at a time...day after day with no place to put them. They have to overwhelm City Hall and make them either give in due to national media scrutiny or force them to build more facilities to house all of those arrested. We're past the point of irate Facebook posts here.

Or as the left likes to say...

Dude you look really stupid in here

We know there will be people that dont go to the restaurant now

We know there will be added people that now do feel comfortable

We however, do not know the net effect on the industry

Its really simple

Still makes no logical sense why only the unvaccinated have to show negative tests. You are mixing healthy people with potential carriers in a false environment where they pretend to be safe.

Dude restaurants were working with thin margins in 2019. The people you are mentioning were comfortable going to restaurants in 2019. My point still stands.

On the Twitter there might be but in reality there are very little; HOWEVER, everyone was comfortable going to restaurants in 2019 and restaurants were working at thin margins at that point in time.

This is going to kill some of those restaurants. Especially with JP not requiring it.

Ehhhh I have met a few clients that are exactly like this, but they aren't the type to go to restaurants that Latoya would shut down, I'll put it that way.
